MT7932 is a single-stage, high power factor (PF), primary side control AC to DC LED driver chip. MT7932 integrates on-chip power factor correction (PFC) function, operating in discontinuous conduction mode, achieving high power factor and low harmonic distortion (THD). Utilizing the unique control technology (patent applied for) of Microchip Technology, the LED current can be accurately modulated without the need for optocouplers and secondary-side sensing devices.
MT7932 also implements various protection functions, including over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP), etc., to ensure reliable operation of the system.
