MT7860 is a high power factor step-down type working in quasi-resonant mode (QRM), greatly reducing the current and voltage stress, while improving efficiency and anti-electromagnetic interference performance. The use of Micson's unique quasi-full cycle detection LED output current to ensure the accuracy of LED output current. MT7860 decodes PWM signal and analog signal LED current to achieve intelligent dimming. The encoder achieves high precision and consistency of LED current. When the light level is low, the PWM control method seamlessly shifts from quasi-resonant mode to pulse frequency modulation mode (PFM) with small output current and low switching loss.
In addition, the MT7860 also implements various types of open protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle over-current protection, short-circuit protection (SCP), and over-temperature compensation to ensure operation.
